Make Up For Ever showcased its intricate and exquisite art of face and body painting via a fashion show at Member’s Only in 2010. Face and Body Painting is an approach which transforms the face and body into a living, three-dimensional canvas. This art-form has applications in high fashion, theater, and commercial advertising.
For the show, Make Up For Ever found inspiration in the works of the French impressionist painters, Monet, Cezanne, Pissarro, Sisley, Renoir, among others. The impressionist art movement began in France in the last quarter of the 19th century when these artists broke from the traditional rules of subject matter, technique, and composition. Impressionist art is about capturing the moment by featuring nature’s beauty and scenes from everyday life. It uses light and vibrant colors that are made even more vivid by the nuances of the changing sunlight.
Among the featured make up artists are members of the Make Up For Ever Pro Team 2010: Tin Albano, Ace Bernardo, Ling Ling Chua, Pilita Guadines, Mio Robo, Ana Simbol, Bernadette Tia, Jinky Ureta, and Yen Uy, led by team leaders Yuki Geraldo and Monica Reyes. The artwork was also captured in still images by photographers Dojo Tia, Richie Macapinlac, and Raymond Latonio.
Diana Afable-Lorenzo, Managing Director of Brio One Commercial Corporation, the exclusive distributor of MAKE UP FOR EVER in the Philippines, thanked friends and fans of the brand for making the event a huge success. David Arbid, International Make Up Artist and Trainer from MAKE UP FOR EVER Paris flew in to join the event.
